Côtes du Luberon is a French wine-growing region in the southeastern extreme of the Rhône wine region of France, where the wines are produced in 36 villages of the Vaucluse Département(State).

The Red Wine’s of the Côtes du Luberon:

The Red wines are mainly a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Carignan. Up to 20% of the blend could be  Counoise, Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir

Flavor Profile: Like most of the red wines of the Rhone Valley that are a blend of Grenache and Syrah which offer ripe black fruit flavors with a spicy note provided by the Syrah. Most are meant to be drunk within one or two years of the vintage.
Food Pairing Ideas: These easy drinking red will pair with a wide range of food, Pizza, Pasta and Grilled Meats.

The Rosé Wines of the Cotes du Luberon

The Rose can be produced from a mix of both the Red grapes listed above and the White Grapes listed below.

Flavor Profile: Lighter Pink in color and has a a soft Strawberry flavor.

Food Pairing Ideas: The Perfect Picnic Wine, Grilled  Chicken. If you like Red wine try with Sushi!

The White  Wines of the Cotes du Luberon

The White wines are a blend Clairette Blanche, Grenache blanc, Ugni blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne

Flavor Profile: Soft floral aromas, the flavor is like biting into a really Ripe Peach without the juice running everywhere  except your mouth.

Food Pairing Ideas: Light Salads, Grilled or Roasted Chicken
